Radiatively-driven black hole winds revisited

چکیده

ABSTRACT We examine general relativistic radiatively-driven spherical winds, using the basic equations for radiation hydrodynamics under moment formalism. Moment are often closed, equilibrium diffusion approximation, which has an acausal problem, and furthermore, gives nodal-type critical points. Instead, we use non-equilibrium approximation with a closure relation of variable Eddington factor, f(τ, β), where τ is optical depth β flow speed normalized by light. then analyse properties in detail several parameters, found that there appear saddle-type points as well nodal type spiral one. The most suitable saddle one appears region close to black hole. also calculate transonic solutions typical show luminosity almost comparable luminosity, gas quickly accelerated vicinity hole, wind terminal speeds on order 0.1–0.3 c. These results hole winds can be applied e.g. ultra-fast outflows, supposed fast outflows from supermassive holes.

Black Hole Winds

We show that black holes accreting at or above the Eddington rate probably produce winds which are optically thick in the continuum, whether in quasars or X–ray bina-ries. The photospheric radius and outflow speed are proportional to ˙ M 2 out and ˙ M −1 out respectively, where ˙ M out is the mass outflow rate. The outflow momentum rate is always of order L Edd /c. Blackbody emission from these...

Radiatively Driven Jets around Black Holes

The hot, puffed up, post-shock region of an advective disc is the source of high energy photons and also the jets and outflows. We study the relativistic equations of motion of jets as these high energy photons interact with them. We show that the much discussed terminal velocity of jets depends on the comparative value of radiative energy density, flux and the radiative pressure. We show that ...

Black Hole Lasers Revisited

The production of Hawking radiation by a single horizon is not dependent on the high-frequency dispersion relation of the radiated field. When there are two horizons, however, Corley and Jacobson have shown that superluminal dispersion leads to an amplification of the particle production in the case of bosons. The analytic theory of this ”black hole laser” process is quite complicated, so we pr...

Continuum Acceleration of Black Hole Winds

Motivated by recent observations of high-velocity, highly ionized winds in several QSOs, models of purely continuum-driven winds launched from ∼ 200 GMBH/c2 are presented. Launching conditions are investigated, as well as the observational signatures for a variety of initial conditions and illuminating continua. While we verify that continuum-driven, highly-ionized outflows reach the observed v...

Feeding the black hole with condensing accretion flows: radiatively efficient and radiatively inefficient cases

We study the accretion flow of a hot gas captured by the black hole gravity in the presence of a thin cold accretion disk. Such geometrical arrangement is expected in Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) and in galactic X-ray binary systems because both hot and cold gases are present in the black hole vicinity. Previous astrophysical literature concentrated on the evaporation of the cold disk in the cl...
